Product Description
Polypropylene carbonate diol (PPC) is an aliphatic diol with high mechanical properties and high hydrolysis resistance, which is prepared by copolymerization of CO2 and propylene oxide. It contains carbonate and ether bonds in the molecule, and the ratio of carbonate and ether bonds is different in different grades with the same molecular weight.
Features and use recommendations
PPC molecules contain a large number of carbonate bonds, high molecular cohesion, so PPC polyurethane strength, mechanical properties are better than polyether and polyester polyols, and hexanediol polycarbonate polyol mechanical properties are similar.
PPC is a secondary hydroxyl group, and the reaction speed of isocyanate is much lower than that of common polyether and polyester polyols. When using, it is necessary to pay attention to the reaction conditions. It is recommended to adjust the amount of catalyst to 3-5 times of the amount of polyether or polyester catalyst, and appropriately increase the reaction temperature and prolong the reaction time. PPC has high viscosity at normal temperature. In small-scale reaction, it is recommended that the stirring speed be 500 rpm or more to ensure uniform stirring.
Packaging, transportation and storage
The product adopts special galvanized iron drum packaging, 220KG/barrel.
During transportation, it is necessary to prevent rain, avoid damage, leakage and pollution caused by collision, and comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department. Store in a cool and dry place to prevent moisture absorption.
The packaging should be used up as soon as possible after opening, without resealing, to avoid moisture absorption.
Product Application
PPC can replace PCDL, PCL, PTMG and other products for the synthesis of high-performance PU, can replace all or part of the traditional polyols to improve product performance, especially suitable for leather slurry, surface treatment, adhesives, elastomers and other fields.
